Looked as though it was going to bean epic 5m session with the wind around 25-30 knots, but as I rstarted to rig up it dropped off so I plumped for the bigger 5.7m sail.

Once on the water there just wasn't enough to get going so I came back in let of some outhaul and had another go. A few pumps and I got onto the plane and managed to sail down to the mouth of the estuary where thanks to the lack of wave there I could finally point upwind a little. I headed across towards Graveyards, gybed and managed to sail back to Ynyslas outside of the waves which is where I stayed for a while as the wind gradually increased.

Before long I was well powered up and flying along and now able to head upwind and jump off the ramps. I took a run down into Borth and then back to Ynyslas where I played in the waves for a bit. the wind then started hitting 30 knots which although OK was really a little too much with my 5.7m sail set so full so I came in and called it a day.

Better than I thought it was going to be at first.
